Kinley Nichole Smith update!

Baby Smith arrived...Kinley Nichole Smith...she is just as sweet and precious as her mommy. She had to stay at the hospital for a while due to fever but again just like her mommy...true fighter. I can't wait until Natalie gets her home so I can come over and love on her more. When I went to visit her in the hospital it was great....I walked in and Natalie said...great you are here...can you change her diaper...and I did with much JOY! Thank you to everyone who helped lift this sweet baby up in prayer!

Simple and Fun centerpieces

I was so excited when I was asked by a family member to create Soccer Birthday Party Centerpieces...soccer was my life growing up FYI. This particular family member is definitely a planner, which is really great, because a lot of times we have time to SAVE MONEY! The buckets below we got 50% off after Easter and I wasn't really sure what we were going to do with them but they were big and cute. Well the wheels started turning and I thought a real soccer ball (Chocolate Chip ball only) would look great but it still needed something more...so that is where the Leila look-a-like came into play. My *PUNKY Plug* for this centerpiece would be, hit up Easter and Holiday sales...you never know what kind of goodies you might find for future events...be creative and have fun!

I was also asked to create a centerpiece for my Nephews graduation party. I asked his Mom his school colors and really built the idea around this. There are so many things you could do for a graduation party so again I say...be creative and think outside of the box. I wanted to make this one more personal as well so I took the letter of his first name and found paper mache letters that stood alone. Spray painted them one of his school colors and then just hand drew some Caps that were also his school colors. Jolee's stickers had these great tassles, and, well....see below. I really just loved these and they were super simple and cheap as well.

D-I-A-P-E-R-S!!!!!!

Recently I have been asked to help with Baby Showers. Diapers Cakes and Diaper Centerpieces are definitely not a NEW concept but I did want to share this very simple Guitar one. I didn't know what to do and there was a very tight budget so I ordered these foam cutouts at *PUNKY Plug* http://www.awesomeevent.com. Then I just added some great colorful letters that said BOYS ROCK!

I was also asked to quickly pull together a Diaper Cake and some centerpieces that would have Peter Rabbit animals placed on top. I added in some Diaper Candy to spread down the table. Enjoy and must importantly don't be afraid to get PUNKY! Change things up and be creative!*PUNKY Plug*...definition: A great local vendor I use a lot or a helpful party planning tip I use!

Sugar and Spice and everything Nice, that is what little GIRLS are made of!

I am tickled PINK that my best friend Natalie is having a little girl...I have one girl and one boy and she has one boy and a girl. So what does that mean, well it means I have a better chance of having Natalie as my IN-LAW...hahhaha! When I started thinking about Natalie's shower I went to *PUNKY Plug:1* http://www.stylemepretty.com/ to get my inspiration. I utilized this website to come up with my INSPIRATION BOARD and really took off from there. I also remembered that awhile back Natalie found these invites that she wanted to recreate on *PUNKY Plug:2* on http://www.etsy.com. They were beautiful Lollipop invites...well needless to say I didn't let her recreate them first and I took on the task myself and added a couple of things. I love it when your craft looks real so I added plastic wrap and I also added some great Candy (Martha Stewart) stickers because this shower is everything "SWEET". Below is a picture of the final product...please bare with me because I am working on getting a camera...this was taken on my phone!

Girls Night or Date Night...this is the place to be!

So the first Monday of every month me and my girlfriends designate a night to each other. It was the best decision we have made in a LONG time...anyways this month it was my darling friend Katie's turn. With Katie you always know that you are in for a treat and most likely going to be doing something you would never think of...well she didn't let me down! I am sure that everyone knows about Artisan Alley, and if you don't look it up, many great things there...Apple Annies, Finders Keepers, CradleCouture...and now a *PUNKY Plug*, PAINTING WITH A TWIST.

I could blog about the process but not needed with a great website: www.paintingwithatwist.com/sanantonio. In a nut shell you show up with your group, bring your own food and drinks, and then PAINT. It was a blast to sit around with my friends and laugh with each other and at each other. What a creative and great way to bring groups together. Melissa you have a great thing going and KATIE...love you and all of your creativeness! Check out my PEACOCK! She is a beauty!
